FAQs: Coming to church

When are the services?

Check out the Sunday Services section of our website.

Where are the services?

Some of our morning services happen in the main church building and some happen in the church hall. See the Sunday Services section for more details.

Do I have to be a Christian to come?

No. We welcome everyone to our services, wherever you are on your journey of faith or if you have no faith at all.

Can I just turn up?

Yes, there's no need to book.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. There's no need to dress up in anything fancy!

Can I bring children and do they need to be quiet?

We love welcoming people of all ages to St. Paul's so children are definitely welcome! We also know that babies and children make noise and we are very happy to hear them! Feel free to stand up and move around the church with them if you think that will help them. We have activities for children at all our morning services and we have baby changing facilities available.

How long will the service be?

The services vary in length but are usually about an hour.

Where should I sit?

Wherever you want to, no one has reserved seats.

Where can I park?

The church has a small car park on site (access via Seale Street, DE1 3RT). There is also street parking locally (please check restrictions) and there is free parking available in City Road car park which is a short walk away.

What bus route are you on?

'St. Paul's Church' bus stop is right outside the church and is served by the 59, 9.1-Nines, 9.3-Nines, 71 and H1.

I've got a question you haven't answered, what should I do?

You can email James, our vicar, on stpaulschestergreen@gmail.com - he'd love to hear from you! Alternatively you can message us on our Facebook or Instagram pages.
